Friends and Fellow Macon County, NC Residents,
Macon County residents know me as an individual with a focus on faith, family and community. The loyalty I have for my community has always been shown in my actions.
As a 9th generation Macon County resident and 3rd generation law enforcement officer, I have always remained connected to my Macon County roots through direct involvement with church, the school system, volunteer services and involvement with youth activities.
As Sheriff, my passion for direct, hands-on, community-based policies would be a constant throughout the department.
My wife, Sarah, a Macon County School Assistant Principal, and I invite you to learn more about our family and community perspectives by openly encouraging a dialogue between us.
I will promise to always give my best effort towards the community and people that live in the place I call home.

Why am I asking for your vote?
Throughout my years of service, I have taken great pride in building relationships throughout the communities of Macon County.
It has always been my goal to get to know the people of Macon County, not just from a professional standpoint, but from a personal perspective. This has given me great insight into their vision for our County, what our residents and business leaders really care about and how we can work together improving the place we all call home.
Known for honesty and integrity, my word is my bond, my handshake, my promise. I have a deep commitment to our next generation of children and young adults. This is evidenced by involvement in our schools and churches and by my passion as a coach, mentor and volunteer.
I would be humbled and honored if I could continue this work in a bigger way by leading our department to engage with the community as I have. I feel honored and humbled by the possibility of becoming your next Sheriff.
